personality
Quillfeather is, first and foremost, a rather abrasive person. She's not afraid to speak her mind and doesn't exercise tact as often as one would expect from a woman of her stature. But she can back up that tongue with fire if need be; those that see her let loose understand fully how she manages to remain the leader of the rebels. She's both passionate and stubborn to her cause, to the idea of freedom, and while she'll be bossy, she'd never intrude on the rights of others.
That's not to say everything she does is aggressive or intrusive. Quillfeather does, after all, lead up the rebellions fighting for the rights of Outworlders. She has a heart buried beneath that fist, however closed off it might be. It typically shows through in loud bursts, tired of being held back and stifled. She is, ultimately, a defender of those in need of defending, whether it's right or wrong, and the second she takes up a side it's near impossible to move her from it.

COMPETENCY EVALUATION: Piper Ainsley
EVALUATING OFFICER: Knight Commander Kaern
EVALUATION DATE: [REDACTED]
PURPOSE OF EVALUATION: Dishonourable Discharge
I, Knight Commander Kaern, after seven hearings over two months, have determined that Sergeant 1st Class Piper Ainsley of the Second Dragoon Division shall be cleared of charges of negligence. A dishonourable discharge will be administered as well as a warrant for conviction under the charge of absence without leave for [REDACTED] days at this time.
Over this course of the hearing the following has been put forward from Sergeant Ainsley's personnel records:
During screening it was determined that Sergeant Ainsley's birth home was razed during rebellion rising from the western desert on [REDACTED]. She and a handful of other survivors were rescued by the Knights-Prisoners Brigade, colloquially known as the Violators. Once recovered from the incident, Sergeant Ainsley immediately petitioned the knights for admittance. Because of her young age, 15, she was refused.
Sergeant Ainsley's whereabouts for the following two years were unknown, but upon turning legal age for admittance she arrived at the Imperial City once more and applied. She underwent typical screening processes and passed with the highest scores out of that month's recruits.
For the next several years, until [REDACTED], Private Ainsley performed admirably, acquiring several accolades on her record before being considered for promotion. She was promoted to Corporal on her first attempt, and Sergeant in little over a year after that. Testimonies all claim that she was a dedicated worker, hard fighter and an obedient knight.
After her promotion to Sergeant and her receiving 1st Class accolades she was assigned to Sergeant Major Mirkcard's Second Dragoon Division. They were sent on orders to investigate rumours of rebellion rising from within the Isles of Lahrea. Because of the sensitive nature of their assignment and tensions growing with the self-proclaimed 'free people' of the area, communication was kept to a minimum and they were under strict orders not to engage unless engaged upon.
These were the last official orders Sergeant 1st Class Ainsley received before taking absence.
Sergeant Major Mirkcard's logs show that they did indeed encounter rebellion in the southern seas and were engaged upon. They were forced to defend, resulting in the death of all the rebels involved. Not before Sergeant Ainsley protested, increasing tensions between our Knights and the rebels, and supposed took leave at the crucial moment before attack.
The exact nature of this incident is still under investigation, but at this time Sergeant Major Mirkcard has been taken into custody under suspicion of treason against the Knights. Let the record show that it was because of Sergeant Ainsley's high acclaim that her involvement in this debacle and subsequent absence have led to any investigation at all.
Testimony has given reason to believe that Sergeant Major Mirkcard was acting outside of orders and sought the killing of innocents to procure Lahrean gold for himself. This same testimony shows that Sergeant Ainsley disagreed with this course of action. It is because of this that I am dismissing charges of negligence from her case. She was demonstrating outstanding judgement against treasonous orders.
Her absence, however, requires action to be taken against her. As of the end of the hearings on Sergeant Ainsley's case and the signing of this document, all accolades and acclaim, as well as her military titles, will be stripped from Sergeant Ainsley and a warrant issued for her immediate conviction if found.
As of the completion of this document, the last evidence of Ainsley's whereabouts suggest she is involved with growing rebellion near the Sayera Forest. Further investigation will be ordered.
